My family and I hired John as our driver while we were visiting Beijing. There were 6 adults in our party. John's car was very clean and comfortable. His English, knowledge of Beijing and driving were all excellent. If you're traveling to Beijing, especially for the first time, I would definitely recommend you hire John. His price is very reasonable and we were very pleased with him. He was timely and he was very helpful when we needed suggestions. If we ever go back, we will definitely use him again!

John took us to the antiquities market on a Sunday (Beijing version of flea market), to a local food market -- unlike any you have seen in the US!~ and also added in a stop so we could buy prescription eyeglasses (we saved a lot of $$). He also found a wonderful spot for lunch, where the food was excellent and the carved watermelons quite spectacular. He is just great. Fun, smart, and the best of entrepreneurial spirit. Recommend highly!

Hire John to take you to the Great Wall followed by the Summer Palace. It was the best thing we did while visiting China. John made sure that we arrived just as the wall opened and for almost 45 minutes we were the only people on our section of the wall. (Disclaimer: it was November! I don't think John can guarantee this during the busy season, but he'll get you there before all the tour buses!) It was amazing.
John's customer service is fantastic and he gives you a cell phone to communicate with him for pick up and drop offs through out the day so you aren't rushed.
John, thank you so much. We hope to one day return with a child or two and have you show us more of your lovely city.

He is the BEST driver I ever booked in my life as teamleader!!!
I visited many of cities and hired a lot of taxi drivers but John is really the BEST BEST BEST!!!
I highly recommend John to anyone needing the one and only driver for Beijing!!!

John, we really enjoyed our day with you yesterday and got to see everything we wanted at the aviation museums. Thanks for picking us up so promptly and especially your assistance at the second museum where you helped us getting in. I hired John to take my brother and his family to the Great Wall. I live in China and have hired many drivers. John was EXCELLENT! Even though I speak Mandarin, John's English is impressive and helpful for all those who don't speak Mandarin. I highly recommend John to anyone needing a high quality, ethical driver. In fact, I'm about to email him again to make another reservations for friends of mine who are visiting me in October.

My husband Chris and I rode with Johnny to the Great Wall. From the second he picked us up at our hotel (whose location many cabbies can't find), it was like hanging out with an old friend. He was friendly, accommodating, and made us feel comfortable and safe. His 10 years of navigating the streets of Beijing gave us the confidence to enjoy our ride as we checked out the sights. And his conversation was jovial, informative, and warm. Johnny had us to the Great Wall early in the morning, even before any of the vendors were out, and we had a wonderfully uncrowded and personal experience of the Great Wall. Afterwards, we marveled at Johnny's skills hacky sack skills, which are just about as good as his driving skills. My husband got to kick around with him at the bottom of the mountain, in the shadow of the wall, which was pretty darn cool. Johnny didn't even mind when we napped on the way home. ;)

My parents always told me never to talk to strangers and certainly never get in a car with one. However, am I ever so happy I ignored their instruction.
John does what he advertises and promises. He is reliable and collects you when and where specified. He's very flexible (he swung by the airport en route to the Great Wall to collect colleagues) and navigates traffic in a rather un-Chinese fashion. He pointed us in the right direction to get tickets, drinks, etc. and gave us some good tips.
I'd recommend him.
