I used John for 2 days and found him excellent. Among his many traits,his best feature is his honesty. I had purchased a gift for my wife and by mistake left in my hotel in Beijing. Not only did John make the effort of going to the hotel and getting my package but he mailed it to me in Canada at his expense. He could have easily kept it but because he is so honest, my wife has her gift from China. Thank you, John, and all the other people involved who, anyone of them,could have kept this gift. He is truly a fine gentleman.

Our trip to Mutianyu Great Wall, Summer Palace was made so much fun enjoyable by John Yellowcar! John can communicate in English very well unlike most of Beijing people. He even assisted us bargain for name stamps at Great Wall, brought us to local restaurants where we had a taste of donkey dumpling, and the best tasting and sanitary local restaurant near Summer Palace - Xiangyangtun. Best of all, since we started the day at 6:30AM (no traffic yet), we had extra time FRUIT PICKING! John as a driver and tour guide, in so many ways, exceeded our expectations! Make sure to schedule in advance, he is so in demand.

We also had Mr. Sun. He was very punctual, and safe driver and even better knew where the cleanest bathrooms were (great after a few days in China). We had some wonderful conversation on the differences and similarities of life in both our countries. We very much enjoyed our day with him and would reccommend him highly.

Our driver was not John as his schedule was not available; but he recommended us a friend of his: Mr. Sun (Sun Qian)
It was a really good recommendation, Mr. Sun is also a safe, reliable, honest, punctual driver with a positive attitude.
My parents, my wife and I were all happy to have him as our driver for two days.
So, if John's schedule is not available just ask him to arrange Mr. Sun for you..

Just back from our China adventure. You made our visit to Beijing, special. The Great Wall visit was spectacular. You were on time, reliable, informative and reasonable. I would recommend you to all. We never did eat TOFFU - couldn't get over the smell. Thanks, once again for your assistance.

For those of you looking to visit the Great Wall or other Beijing attractions, the driver service is the way to go. John was referred to us by a friend. He suggested we leave early in the morning to beat the tour buses and crowds at the Wall, it worked out perfectly, there was barely anyone else there. He is a safe driver, and has a nice clean and comfortable car. Most importantly, John is a super nice guy, great to chat with on the drive, he speaks really good English, would love to visit him again in Beijing someday!

We hired John for a day and went to the great wall, we were really quick so John took us to the Beijing zoo as well as some shopping. He speaks great english and he knows where to go in and around Beijing. We ha a great day! Thanks John, hope to see you again next time we come to beijing :)

To all readers! I have hired John to drive me around Beijing and the Great Wall. John was very helpful and his English is very good! Also, he made excellent suggestions for shopping,lunch, and where to go for sightseeing to avoid other tourists.
I had a wonderful time, and even gave him a video recommendation (that I cannot post here). I highly recommend John, he is trustworthy, knows how to drive in Beijing, and is honest and hardworking, and his English is above average!
